Hit & Miss on Women's Magazines

So, to look back at 2 beauty/women's magazines I bought towards the end of July and start of August, namely HerWorld and Elle Singapore.


Her World magazine, July issue. It "boasts" a mini Agnes B. tote bag, got me excited. Can't find in any magazine shops I went to, made me even more excited. Mum bought it from newspaper vendor, uber big disappointment follows. It's way too mini to even put in a novel with my money, wallet, girly things that I tote around with me.

I probably can only use this mini tote bag to hold my redeemed samples, redeemed freebies and stuffs like that before I take pictures to put up on this blog. Really, big disappointment. I've come across other mini tote bags giveaways with magazine purchases and the definition of mini is bigger than the mini Her World gave out.


On the last day of July, I was browsing Popular Bookstore trying to hunt down a white-ink pen to use on colored Post-It notepads that happened to clash with my regular colored pens. Trust me, dark blue colored Post-It notepads with black-ink pen is definitely not a good combination Since there are magazine departments in Popular, I thought, might as well check it out and see if anyone catches my fancy.

And I caught sight of Elle Singapore S$8 and it seem like a good buy somewhat. Besides, if it suck too much, I can choose not to buy the next issue.


went home, opened up the magazine and this is what I see before me. Magazine, free pouch, beauty list booklet and a skin79 BB cream booklet. So much to look through for a reasonable price of S$8!!


So, I started from small to big and read the skin79 BB cream booklet and a free sample of BB cream dropped out. Wow! Essentially, 5 goodies in a magazine package for S$8

o.O Okay, August issue of Elle Singapore do seemed like a really good buy now. And I spent the next few days after exploring all the beauty products in the magazine.
