THE PRODUCT(S):
RoC Energizing Cleansing Mousse: This cleansing mousse from RoC® helps to gently cleanse whilst refreshing and toning the skin. Alcohol free and formulated for all skin types, even sensitive skin. Will not clog pores. Perfectly cleansed, your skin feels refreshed and toned.
The scent of this cleansing mousse is a cross between flowery and soapy, and despite washing off the foam after cleansing, my skin feel as if there's still cleansing mousse residue leftover.
VERDICT: The scent is actually a cross between flowery and soapy, which I think is actually pleasant. Imagine flowers getting a shower LOL That was weird, but yes, it definitely smell something between flowery and soapy, all at the same time. And the good thing is that this scent doesn't linger on unnecessarily at all, it actually goes away as soon as you start washing your face. And I think the reason why certain facial cleansers have a certain type of scent to it is that, they want you to cleanse your face of dirt, grime, sebum and other whatnots that shouldn't stay on your face. Hmm, that sounds legit.
What I like about this cleansing mousse is that, all you need is just 1 pump and it's more than enough to cleanse your entire face with it. And since foam is good at picking up small dirt and grime that cannot be seen by the naked eye alone, it actually does leave my skin looking and feeling clean after usage. And the thought of manually massaging the cleansing mousse all over my skin actually sounds and feel good too. Unlike facial cleansers that have microbeads that can be used on a daily basis, cleansing foams and mousse tend to be gentler for some of us who doesn't want to have our skin looking irritated and red cos we used too much force while doing our facial cleansing.
And the only part of my face that always looks a little red tend to be my nose, since blackheads are a bane and my daily favorite procrastination topic. It's like, you know you cleanse your skin at least once or twice a day, so the amount of blackheads shouldn't be that astounding to the point where you wonder if you had really cleansed your skin on a daily basis or are you just going through the motions since those blackheads still look like permanent residents on your nose. A trick is to use your nails and really gently and light scrub your nose, even if you have blackheads, it won't look that visible, unless the other person is standing right smack in front of your face.
And the other thing I like about this cleansing mousse is that, despite washing off the mousse after cleansing, my skin feels like there's leftover residue. And the thing about skin and the products used to cleanse it is that, your skin should never ever feel as if it's really squeaky clean. This meant that you've successfully stripped off the natural barrier of facial sebum on your skin. And that is how skin problems arises. It should feel clean, and somewhat soapy to the touch with your wet hands. Try washing the lower half of your face while looking at the mirror next time. You will notice that despite seeing the fact that your facial cleanser is washed off, your face/skin feels like there's still something else leftover.
So far, I liked that this RoC Energizing Cleansing Mousse didn't aggravate my already angsty skin issues, such as acne and pimple woes. In fact, it didn't gave me more new acne and pimple problems, while existing acne and pimple issues are gradually lessened and taken care of gently and without bad reactions or side effects at all. Just note that facial cleansers of any types do not get rid of acne and pimple scars, facial cleansers only cleanses the skin on your face. And I've heard of how people who used certain facial cleansers insisted it's not good cos it didn't get rid of old facial scars, when a facial cleanser's main priority is to cleanse the skin on your face without making it worse than it already is.

WHAT I THINK: Cleanses well, doesn't irritate my angsty skin and doesn't contribute new skin issues at all.
