Japanese Cherry Blossom Eau De Toilette Contest/Giveaway

Hello and welcome to the 5th giveaway on my blog. As this is the 2nd of my Spring Fragrance giveaway to welcome new readers and fans and thank loyal readers and fans for sticking with me from July 2012 onwards :D

Previously, Japan is having the first bloom of their well-known Cherry Blossoms supposedly on 8 May 2013, what better way to celebrate the blooming and these beautiful flowers in Spring by giving away a bottle of The Body Shop's Japanese Cherry Blossom Eau De Toilette (50ml/1.69 US Fl Oz.) to 1 very lucky fan.

Unfortunately for those of us in tropical Singapore, the only way for us to experience a hanami, which is a practice of picnicking underneath a blooming cherry blossom tree is to go to Japan at the right season. But then, I heard hanami is a very popular tradition over at Japan, so we probably might have to be at our favorite locations at the break of dawn to secure the best spot. But that doesn't mean you cannot experience part of a hanami at all, since I am giving away a bottle of The Body Shop's Japanese Cherry Blossom Eau De Toilette. This means you get your very own bottle of sakura, albeit in fragrance form, if you are the lucky one.

However, do you know that cherry blossoms and their leaves are actually edible and can be used as food ingredients? Think of where sakura mochi comes from. Yes, it's main ingredient is the sakura a.k.a cherry blossom itself. And it's not only just the humble but tasty sakura mochi only, there's scores of wonderful food in Japan that makes use of the cherry blossoms and their leaves. Although I would like to see sakura jam, so I can try it on my toast, let's hope someone in Japan thought of jam with sakura and import it all over the world :D

If you are someone who doesn't like their fragrance lingering on way too long, this Japanese Cherry Blossom Eau De Toilette actually has a staying power of up to 3-4 hours time. So, this means you can keep spritzing yourself for a fresh renewal of senses once every 4 hours or so. The scent is actually a mixture of floral and woody and is a very light scent to be used, if you are not overly fond of strong fragrances that might potentially irritate your nose or happen to have slight nose allergies.

As it's a Cherry Blossom scent, this is perfect for wearing it if you are working in an office and is afraid of applying fragrances due to their overwhelming scent. Oh yes, I once encountered this "Ah Beng" (a.k.a gangster wannabe for you overseas folks) whom I suspected doused himself in some expensive brand name fragrance. As soon as this guy steps out of the lift, I almost choked to death on the spot. And such is the amount of fragrance said dude wore, and I wondered if he just simply popped off the lid and stopper and just proceeded to pour the entire contents of his fragrance from his head down.

This Japanese Cherry Blossom Eau De Toilette gives a fresh and feminine feeling/sensation when used, giving you that girly and feminine scent that teases. Not saying that it's just solely a girl scent as this comes with musky undertones, which isn't too heavy on the nose at all. And don't even forget, the bottle itself isn't too big nor bulky, so you can actually drop it into your bag so you can give yourself a fresh spray when you feel the scent is wearing off.
